Scope

In this five-part lab, we will quickly spin up a virtual machine using a stock Cirros image to familiarize ourselves with Nova Compute. Once the instance has been created, we will practice creating images, and attaching a Cinder block storage volume using the Horizon dashboard.

Objectives

This lab is meant to give students new to OpenStack the opportunity to have guided interaction with the five main components of a Cloud environmment.

Lab Connection Information - UPDATED

How to Access Root:
Start Lab and connect via SSH using the generated credentials, then run sudo -i to login as root.

HORIZON LOGIN URL:
http://[IP Address]
Start lab, then access by copying SSH IP into new browser window

DEMO TENANT:
Username: demo
Password: openstack

CLOUD ADMIN:
Username: admin
Password: openstack
