Work with and learn how to update the kernel on a running Red Hat Enterprise system.
In this lab, we are going to walk through manually updating a Red Hat 7 kernel. Normally this process can be completed with a simple yum command, however, knowledge on manually updating the kernel is required for the RHCSA exam.
One of the systems in your inventory needs to have a kernel update applied. However, it cannot use the YUM package management systems to apply the update. You will need to manually download the RPM file for the appropriate kernel update and then apply it at the command line.
