How to enbale Public Hostname on running EC2-instances

    A running EC2 instance should already have a public hostname generated and assigned to it. Are you not able to find the hostname? Or are you wanting to change the hostname?  An example of the auto-generated public DNS hostname would look similar to this:

    ec2-203-0-113-25.compute-1.amazonaws.com

     @bsalmans  i am able see public ip any how the public dns hostname is blank. if that if disable.pleaselet me know howcan i enable same.

     The public DNS setting can be enabled on the VPC your instances reside in. Check out the following for instructions on how to set this up:https://docs.aws.amazon.com/vpc/latest/userguide/vpc-dns.html#vpc-dns-support
