RHCSA: Hands-On Lab: Create and Mount SAMBA and CIFS Fileshares

I just completed the lab in the subject line above and couldn't help but notice that the smb service on the lab was disabled. I keep seeing people on here post about EXAM gotchas about configurations not surviving reboots and failing scores. Shouldn't we be enabling the smb service so that it starts up automatically if "server 1" reboots?

[root@ip-10-0-1-179 ~]# systemctl list-unit-files --type=service | grep smb

smb.service disabled

dbmatis, if it is part of the objective to have sbm service needed, it needs to survive a reboot. You will need to enable in the exam in that case.  I think it is a test in labs to see , if you really pay attention.

Yep. Always enable services that you want to survive a reboot, this includes the samba service.
