Working with Persistent Disks and the Google Cloud Platform Compute Engine

We deploy the real environment, you take the scenario-based labs on us. Hands-on, from anywhere, at any time.

Time required: 2 Hours

Suggested Pre Requisites

You must have a Google Cloud Account.

1. Initialize gcloud environment.

2. Create a Compute Instance and add a disk.

3. Configure the disk for use.

4. Delete the Compute Engine Instance and the Persistent Disk.

In this lesson, you'll add persistent disks to compute instances.

You have been tasked with creating a new Google Cloud Compute instance and provisioning that instance with storage and configuring it for use within the instance.

Once that is verified, the instance will no longer be required and you will delete the instance and recover the storage to save costs.
